Default bad noise from clutches?

OK..............................

I dumped the other thread and started over. I just put a new belt on the TrailBoss and the difference in performance is dramatic. But now I still have a noise that just started the over day that sounds like it's coming from one of the clutches. It only makes the noise under load, when I gun it. It does not do it when I start off slowly and it does not make the noise when I have the rear end up on a floor jack with it in gear from a little gas to wide open. The noise is kinda like a loose chain jumpin around on a sprocket??? (but it's not the chain in the tranny, it's new!)

Any suggestions?

Ernie

Well how are your chain and sprockets?

Chain and sprockets are brand new. That may have been a bad analogy, but I don't recall ever hearing a noise particularly like this before. The noise is definitely from sprockets and only when under a load. (when I take off quick) If i ease off, no noise and it will not make the noise at all with the rear up on jackstands.

Uhhh.............................Doc, you did say 'clutch problem" when I first posted with perfomance/noise problems last week. You may have been right from the start. Any other thoughts???
