I have a 98 trailboss 250 and would like a winch. anybody know where i could get one, if they even make them.??

thanks, i'v looked on ebay and and there are none for a trailboss. that suprises me.......but when i look at my atv i dont see a place that a winch could go??

 

i think warn makes a kit

 

one thing you can do is pull the old front bumper and skid plate and bolt on a bumper from a newer style scrambler/sport any gen lll will bolt up and it gives you better protection and a place to bolt a winch

i see scrambler bumpers on ebay cheap

i looked at my atv and i dont see what a different bumper would do, there really isnt a flat spot on the front to put one on without the steering geting in the way.. LOOK AT MY PICTURES.

 

the new bumper will give you the room ,it sticks out further. but you still need a scrambler winch kit that includes a mount plate

can you give me a link to one on ebay because there are a few different ones

 

yea ebay has gorrilla winches that come with plates they are great i have the 2500 waterproof series on my polaris scrambler 500 2002 2/4 its a great winch i used it tones snowplowing pulling other people and myselfe out of holes/mud. i was lucky and picked up a winch mount that they made for one year it has the winch sit inside the front bumpers with a nice mound its a hole new front tube bumper. but it was there last one i also have teh other winch mount that all of the other companies have now but all it is is a peice of flat stock with a 45 degree bend and bolts on the front of the bumper were teh tubes are conected and the tome of it mounts with u bolts around the bumper its selfe it worked but was exposed to hitting things with it. i will post pictures later you have to make sure you do not get a gorrilla winch that doesnt have supports over the cable spool its reelly easy to break i broke one.
