Just picked up a Polaris...
After looking for an atv for a couple of months now, I finally picked one. Bought a 2003 Magnum 330. It was owned by an older guy on a hobby farm. Mechanically it is spot on, as the old guy was a stickler for service, but it did need a good cleaning, and a little elbow grease.
I will get around to posting some pics tomorrow. It is silver, don't think there are to many options on it other than some skid plates. Anyone have any thoughts on mods? I'm kinda new to the atv scene but a hardcore sledder, so this is not my first polaris. Any problem areas to look out for??? It was well serviced and just had an oil change and the fluids changed about 30 days ago.
Ah, one thing I wondered is how hard it would be to add a light to it. It only has the 2 lights in the front rack. Could I just take a housing off say a magnum 500 or a sportsman and wire it in?

sounds like a great atv, looks are great, but having the outfit kept up services is a bigger deal to me. The only things I have added to mine is a winch, and a plow. I will be up grading tire this month and thats about it. I am sure you can add lights, check atv parts sites, i have three lights and when I was at Moab last month and ridding off a hill at night I sure could have used more light. Nice shape, Things to look for are the pull start handle fits tight to the recoil housing and has its metal ring. The pull start handle is the only thing that keeps water out of the recoil housing which protects the $300 Statorand pulse coil and Bendix drive. Before any deep crossings make sure the handle is snug on there. A winch is a nice option to look into as well.
