You will need to take the jets out to be sure they are clean

 

Update- new gas, airfilter, gasfilter. Got it started two days out of the past ten. When it runs, it runs good, plenty of torque, a real blast. When it won't start, makes for a bummer day. Cause of no-start is when outside temp. is below fifty degrees. Prev. owner says remove carb (to clean) takes "half a day" and doesn't want to help with that. If anyone not have any other ideas, I'll have to find a manual and do it myself. Many thanks.

 

Forgot to mention:
* New spark plug
* Old fuel (pbly. 2 gal.) not drained. New fuel (2 gal.) poured in over old fuel.

 

Old fuel will do it every time. Drain the tank completly and fill with fresh fuel. You could add some fuel treatment as well.
