scrambler rear brakes

Default scrambler rear brakes

my scrambler rear brakes don't work good with the foot pedal.Blead the brakes a 1000 times.Every thing works fine with hand brake.my sportsmans foot pedal locks the wheels up when you just touch it.anyone have ideas?

Mine worked for about 6 months and then they quit. I never bothered with them as the hand brake works just as good.

Gotta love the rear brake action on these things....or shall I say the lack there of!!! I'm planning on re-doing mine this spring!!! I like the rears for trail ripping!!!

Default scrambler rear brakes

MIne were that way for years till i took apart the caliper and found the bolts that haold the 2 halved were loose. The gaskets were not sealing which let the pressure bead off. You can try taking the caliper apart and cleaning it. Mud gets inside and lossens every seal.

Default scrambler rear brakes

I rebuilt my rear caliper and the foot brake still sucks.What's a good brake pad to use?I been using polaris brakes is there a better one to use?

Its not the pads. I think the peddle assembly is a junk item. I have in the past had an emergency where i had to switch the lines on the rear caliper because the seal blew out on the main system. Switching the lines isolated the blown seal to the peddle system and the good side of the caliper to the f/r combo system.
