Default 500 sportsman need flywheel

Does anyone repair flywheel magnets. I need one magnet replaced on a 98 sportsman 500. I have looked for a used flywheel with no luck. My bro doesn't want to pay for a new one. (to many $0)
thanks

I have a good used flywheel. Can you tell me what the markings are on the flywheel itself? FF95 or FF97?

Or how about the numbers off the motor EH50PLE01, 02, 04, or 07?

There may be some numbers between the bolt holes(on the flywheel) used for removal. Anything there?

The numbers inside the flywheel don't seem to matter according to the book. Only the numbers/letters on the outside.

I think it's a 95, I'll check when I get home and get back to you. How much do you need for it?

Find out the numbers and we'll see about a price. I hadn't really thought about it till I read your post.

Read this Polaris flywheel info.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>i know i have put lots of parts from a 99 on to an 97 sportsman like.cdi box and some other ignition stuff and its worked fine. i know the part numbers are diff but from what i understand they are just updated parts. i thought all the older non ho motors were the same. </end quote></div>

I notice that also when I use Polaris's cross reference site it will have different parts number on parts that I know are the exact same.

Well of course the one I have is the FF95. According to the OEM Polaris tech manual the 95 was used on 150W and 200W charging systems. The 97 is on the 250W systems.

The book also shows that engine number EC50PLE02 is listed for both the 95 and 97. The stamp number is different though. The 95 stamp is 02, and the 97 is 06. The stamp number is the one that is between the puller bolt holes.

I'll sell it to you if you want it but I don't know what the actual differences are. There must be something, but the book doesn't give me enough to tell what exactly it is.

Can you take a pic of both sides of your flywheel and post them or mail them to me(not saying I can make a definitive decision on whether it will work or not, just curious to look at a few things)
