Found the problem!!! Need help!!!
#1
Well, I found out what was causing the problem on my ATP with the Turf Mode. I put the rear of the bike up on blocks and determined that the left rear wheel had no connectivity to the differential in any mode. I tested the solenoid and it worked fine, so I went ahead and pulled the left rear axle shaft off of the bike. I couldn't believe what I found..
The left rear axle has been sheared in to two pieces right where it enters in to the differential.
My questions are:
How hard is it to replace the axle?
Are there other parts of the axle assembly that should be replaced as a precaution? I checked the axle that is still in the shaft, and it seems to spin freely.
I'll post pics as soon as I figure out how..
Thanks.

first I heard of an axle breaking like that. I assume that by saying you have 2 pieces of the axle you have it out. I would think all you have to do is get another one and stick it back into the housing the way you removed the old one.

Stendori,
The ATP does not have independent rear suspension, so there are no CV boots.. What I did was unbolt the axle tube from the frame and the differential. This allowed it to be removed from the bike.
I removed the remaining axle from the axle tube today, and the bearings appear to be fine. The fact that the bike only has 79 miles on it tells me that the axle was probably defective and the original owner ran it in Turf Mode too much, which caused the axle to snap.
I've ordered a new axle online, but it will take a week or so for it to arrive. I can't wait to see how this atv runs when both wheels are operating properly...
