Default pulser coil

To fix a problem I posted about earlier I bought a new pulser coil. It was a lot cheaper online and the seller assured me (I know, I am an idiot) that it would fit my rig. A 2000 magnum 500. it looks the same but instead of a white and white/red wire it has a black and a green. Did I get taken or is this common? Besides taking a 50/50 shot is there any way to be sure which wire goes where?

I am pretty sure the green wire goes to the orginal white wire and the black wire goes to the orginal white/red i have put several of these in but most of mine have been a green and blue wire, and you hook the green to the white and the blue to the white/red. I do recall once having the wire colors that you have though but I can't quite remember if thats how i hooked it up. not 100% sure but if i were going to hook it up thats how i would do it.
