I'd buy another for the wife. Her Trail Blazer needs a top end rebuild, so I bought a DS250 to replace it. She hates it and wants the Blazer running again. Soon.

For me, I wanted a sport model. Didn't like the original Preddy that much. Like the KTM motors, but came out after I had already bought something else.

Definitely, looking at buying a new one just haven't decided which model. I have a 1999 Sportsman 500 special edition, looking at possibly a Sportsman 800 (heavier & uses more fuel).

I'd have to do some shopping before I get another Polaris. My 500 Sportsman has done well for me but the support from the factory has a lot to be desired. Poor or no after sale support.
One mechanical drawback is needing to stop to go from high range to lower range. I don't see many of the other machines needing to do that. And I think it's kind of a pain in the neck. 90% of the time I'm in lower range but would like to be able to pop it into high when needed.

I've owned Polaris since '96 starting with a 1995 XLT, a 1999 XC 500, a 2000 XC 700, 2003 Scrambler and now a 2007 SP 500. Would I buy Polaris again?? No question about it. Have they ever broke?? Of course, everything does. Does my dealer suck?? Sometimes, but I work at a Ford dealer and sometimes we suck too LOL I have been on almost everything on the market and I'm sticking to my Polaris

I ride with all types of ATVs Belt and manual drives. I have never heard of any ATV can be shifted from low range to high range or visa versa without the engine being at idle first, which means a full stop.
