My 08 800's front compartment seems to be cupping upwards at the ends where the locks are. i was wondering if this is what is causing it to be less than water tight.

is anyone else front compartment cupping upwards?

 

Yes, mine does the same thing, it is an 05 700 twin. It does it on the outside of each latch in the corner. Mine just came molded that way. I think it is still water tight or atleast mostly tight. I dont think you can do much about it unless it is under warranty and it leaks in water??

 

exactly what does "cupping upwards" mean? do you mean the rear corners are turned up? maybe take a picture and post it so we can get a better idea of what your talking about.

 

dont think these are water tight because their not. they flex the corners but dont remember them turning upward.

 

I have an 07' and my buddy has an 06' and both lids curve up in the corners. I've noticed in on a lot of them.

 

Same thing on both quads. The ATP is a little different but both have a little bit of difference between how closed the cover is at the corner or at the "locks".

 

Yep, 05 Sportsman 400 and mine turn up too.

put on the polaris front rack extender, that fixes the problem. Ads support like a skeleton.
