Well to my relief another dealer handed me the part today with a little paperwork. Got it in and were ready to go. Easy to fix actually, hope this fixes the problem.

Down here, the service centers won't let ya "Do it yourself" since
its recall related. Sounds like its more CYA, if ya ask me, interestingly
enough the tech from my dealership said its only about 15mins of work?

It is only about 15 minutes of work. Some models can be done in about 5.
We don't let customers install them either(not my decision, the genius higher ups decision)
The only prob with dealers letting customers install things like this is if they do something wrong(not saying they will, but it is a possibility) Pinching wires causing other issues down the road and then all of a sudden we have to warranty a new harness because their harness got fried or something and it shows we did the fix. It is a CYA.
Where I work I make it as painless as possible. We call them when the parts show up and tell them to bring it in WHENEVER and we will stop and fix it right then so they can take it back home 20 minutes later. I don't know how other dealers are but from what I've read and been told, that doesn't happen very much at other places.

This ECM thing is a never ending story. My 2007 500 EFI DX has a broken ecm, but according to Polaris my ecm shoud be fine.. yeah right. Same old ****, but they just hope that they dont have to make a recall even on the -07 atvs...
Very disapointed. First the shitty rubberbushings for the swaybar and no good replacements. Now the ecm... just really bad customer care in my opinion

I hear you! The rubber bushings were $6.50 each. And a harness for the air pressure was $36.00. For a machine with 15hrs these things should be replaced by Polaris.
How much is the ECM? How many hours do you have on your machine?
