what made you change the cam? what the bike not running correctly, backfiring. does it rev up in neutral fine and only do it under a load 1/2 throttle. did you make sure the vent lines are all good and not blocked or pinched? is the timing right on the bike. is the carb orperating correctly diapham, vacume and jets all right. just a few things.

TO MAKE THINGS SIMPLER AND ALSO TO DO IT THE WAY ITS SUPPOSE TO BE DONE. WHY DONT YOU TELL US BY MAKING A LIST WHAT ARE THE SERVICES GIVEN TO THE MACHINE IN THE PAST YEAR. FROM THAT LIST WE WILL ALL KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO/CHECK/MAINTENANCE. IT CAN BE ANY ONE PROBLEM OF MANY.

usually a cam will make it run extremly bad, back fire and what not and maybe not even start. was this lack of reving before you replaced the cam?

ok i see. what does it do when you rev it up. does it start spit and sputter, start to die, or just top out at what rpm? just asking a few questions so the guys will get an idear of whats going on. did the cam problem and the lack of power(wont rev up) happen at the same time?

When you had the carb off did you look at the slide assy and make sure the rubber diaphragm doesn't turn freely on the slide? is it possible the driven clutch buttons broke, or the snap ring came off the ramp? Did you unplugg the reverse limiter?
