Pulled my Scrambler top end today and the piston skirt was broken off in chunks. Surprisingly the cylinder didn't have a scratch. I'm going to be ordering a Wiseco and I was thinking about having the cylinder bored .020 over but I'm not sure about it. Is there any drawback to having it bored that might affect future reliability? I'm also concerned about all those piston pieces that surely have made their way to the bottom end. Can it be cleaned out adequately without tearing down the botttom end?

Punch that baby out !!!! It will bump the compression up slightly, but not much.
Clean the big stuff out of crankcase and remove the drain plug and flush out with some solvent (NOT GASOLINE) untill all of the pieces are removed. The piston skirt tends to stay in larger pieces, rather than shavings.
