Default Exhaust

I got my new Pure Polaris Exhaust and i'm not sure about something. There was like a graphite seal on the stock muffler. does this go on with the aftermarket muffler??? With it on the bolt holes don't line up. But with it not on there the exhaust leaks a little bit.

i would guess if it doesnt go w/ it you need sometype of gasket or selaer becasue it shouldnt be leaking atall. no instructions on it?

Depends on the system. The Supertrapp IDSX mounts up using the stock donut gasket. Just check the mating surfaces and it will be obvious which route to go. Also check the instructions to see if it mentions something special.

If you get the time, post some pics of what the problem is and we'll see if we can figure it out.

the stock gasket didn't really fit on the new pipe. plus with the stock gasket on it the bolt holes didn't line up. the instructions don't mention anything about the gasket or sealant. although there was a little tube of something that came with it. i don't have no clue what that is for.

You'd think a "Pure Polaris" part wouldn't have any fitment issues.

Could be antiseize lubricant/ high temp lubricant, for any bolts INSIDE the muffler so they will come off easier in the future. My Supertrapp had a small tube of this stuff for use on the threads of the bolts that hole the discs on.

Yes the donut goes on the end of the pipe, between the pipe and muffler, the stock one is the right one.
