Is a 2000 Scrambler E-start button servicable
When I push my starter button it takes two hands to push it hard enough to engage the starter. On my KLR 600 I took the switch apart and cleaned it. Has anyone taken apart & cleaned the contacts for the button on their machine?

I took the one off my 2000 trail boss, and wasn't expecting a spring loaded bearing to come out.
You can take it apart and clean it, just be ready for that little bearing. No fun trying to find it in a dusty campsite. And it's pretty tricky to get back in there too.

Its not that hard to do just make sure you don't loose anyparts. take it off of the bike then open it up.</end quote></div>
Yes, in hindsight, it is easier with it off.
