Basically i cut the middle of the factory bracket out and used the two ends where they were suposed to go with the longer bolts and made a new middle piece out of aluminum plate with 2 holes on each end. So far it has held up fine. I will take one hell of a hit too. A few months ago someone on here had done the opposite of you and was trying to put 07 up on an older bike. Send a shout out and see if they may want to trade.

 

I dont know how to send a shout out. If you could get a picture a little farther away on your aluminum brace you made that would be sweet. It is a little blurry and hard too see right now. I am going to try to mod it to work like you did and hopefully it will be good. thanks Mark
