If it's a grizz 660 you will have a hard time keeping up. It's not worth spending money in mod's on a 500 to keep up. I had a 500 efi 07, put clutch spring in, Kn filter, didn't really notice a diff. I learned that THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT. If you want to take him go get the 800. LOL

I have a HSP pipe, UNI air filter, Heel clicker, and I walk away from my buddys SP 500, AC 500, Rubicon 500, and a Foreman 450. All of them are 06s and none of them hold a candle to me. But as Outback says, if you're looking at beating a 660 you'll need more CCs

I agree with outback31----Try a shot of nitrous but you better win alot of money on that first race, you'll need it----
In all seriousness, I like the A/C 650 H1, lots of quick low & mid range power but weavier than others. More air in- More exaust out & proper fuel to compinsate..You build it too strong, cams ect. you loose reliability.. Just my 2cents worth.

i hate to keep saying it but outback sole my saying lol. your trying tp over come 160 cc's that in 4 strokes isnt that easy or cheap to do. nito,or maybe a turbo will do it. save your money and either trade or live with the slower of the 2 bikes.

stendori, your right...my 650 is all I need, I don't race it but I don't cut it much slack either. 4 out of 5 quads following me in mud trails got stuck, the one that diddn't get stuck- I thought he was gonna sling the rod out the side gettin thru this one mud hole.
I like that vmax. Just sold my 1400 Intruder and it was (or still is) extremly fast for a cruiser. 25 to 125mph really fast. pinged many harley windshields. oops Most harleys riders hated my intruder. Didn't want to sell it but i have three little girls and feel safer with them in the mud instead of on the road with all the idiots in cars with those wal-mart drivers license...

Even the older 600 Grizzly was a very fast ATV.

not to mention that grizzly weights ~120lbs less than a Sp500....
