Sorry to say but polaris has a bunch of iffy modules out their that need to be re flashed at the dealer. So of the units were refurbs others well just poor sourcing. The dealer can reflash for cheap if he is good. Just make sure that the are a factory dealer and have the most current copy of digital wrench for the re flash.

To answer the "priming" question, you are supposed to wait for the fuel pump to pressurize the system before you actually start it. Depending on how cold it is here it usually takes me 3-4 chugs of the starter for it to kick over. If you are not hearing the fuel pump when you turn the key to the running notch (just before you actually start it) there is probably something electrically wrong. You might want to have a dealer look at it.
