I have the jamhard on my machine......It's well made but I don't like the curve in the bottom part......It leaves an open area accessible for debris to get past the guard and into the rad.....Some guys actually turn it upside down to eliminate that...The curved part I've learned was designed for clearances for certain plow setups....I'm not downing the product because I really like it but I don't go to crazy in the trails anyway...A member from another forum called jamhard and had one made without the curve, squared off on the top and bottom for better coverage........I've also seen a heavier metal screen that goes in place of the stock one also..Good luck and welcome to the forums...

I have a Jamhard and love it. It's saved my rad more times than I can think of. I do use mine upsidedown and I have heard of ones without the curved end. For me that would've been ideal. I had some issues with the powdercoating not matching the factory blue accesories and I think they have discontinued the blue. Would I ride without one? No. Would I buy another?? Absolutley!!!

Now with that one it looks like you couldn't use a hook on the quad, It looks like it would cover the hook bar. I turned my Jamhard upside down. But it is $46 cheaper. All in all I think I like the Jamhard better. But it would be nice if he would build an ad on with less of a V to fix >HIS< error. I got the red one and I have no problem with the color. I must say tho, Jamhard does build one tough rad guard,

Jamhard has arrived and it's time to install. Do you take the factory guard (lightweight screen) off when installing the Jamhard? Will cooling be affected if the factory guard is left on, or is their enough cooling capacity (radiator/fan) on the Polaris to keep cool? Thanks again.
