i'm kindof in racing heaven.most Nascar teams are based about 2hrs from here.as far as drag racing goes Bristol and Rockingham are about a 3 hr drive Farmington and the new track at Charlotte are about 2hrs away.my wife got us free tickets for the ADRL race at Rockingham last year and we took our daughter for her first "real" event. she loved it.if the cars where on the track she wasn't going to miss a pass.i've been to both of the HRA's races before so we took her back to Rockingham for the IHRA world finals.she loved the nitro cars (rail and funny)but the rest she didn't like.said it was boring. it did have a more business feel to it.i think most of come from the ADRL race .she got to walk around and talk to the drivers get their autograph. one driver quit working on his car to talk to her and sign her book. then he put her in the car and put the steering wheel on(made for a cool picture).at the IHRA race you did'nt see a driver hardly had their pits taped off.she said the ADRL drivers where more friendly and she liked the cars better.the bad thing is the first NHRA drag race at Charlotte is the same weekend as the ADRL race in Rockingham. i have been told we "are" going to Rockingham and not Charlotte. i'm glad my mind makes choices before i can think about it.LOL if i can find my scanner cable i'll post some more pics
