A) It seems I popped a fuse going to the DC socket plug. Does anybody know where this fuse is?
B) Do you need to be in gear to get it into AWD? After I popped the fuse, I started wonder about the 4WD button. Everything works, but in neutral, I switched it to 4WD and it did NOT light up.

ANy help would be great. I need to have it fixed, ASAP. Thanks

I dont think it has a fuse, just a circuit board, as for the awd it has to be in gear and turn the rear tires 1-5th of a turn to work.

Well, I am really baffeled now. I went and checked it again. The speedo works, the AWD aorks, headlights, tail lights, everything works EXCEPT
That DC accesory socket.

What is a owner to do.

what is this bike and size and year? i dont ever remember seeing a dc outlet on my 335 or my 02' 500. im just wondering since you say this is a 2000? the newer efi models have a 20 amp fuse for their d/c sockets.

Well, all 1998-to present have the DC socket accessory outlet. It's still mounted on the side of the headlight pod I think, even on the current models. Your 2002 Ho had one there as does mine. left side of the headlight pod. There is no 20 amp inline fuse on mine, unless it is well hidden or it is the resetable fuse.
That is the mystery I am trying to solve.

Also to answer your question: 2000 Sportsman 500 is th size. The 335's do not have that option I think.

I think the they just have breakers that reset them self, There under the front rack hatch. These out lets are just cheap cigarette lighter like in a car,and we all know how they just quite for no reason " Does you cigarette lighter work?" we all heard that one.. Maybe it just time to get a new one.

I added one one my old Big bear it cost like $8 bucks and I hard wired it with no fuse.
