Default Polaris 1988 250 trailboss help!!!

Thanks for those diagrams but unfortunatly, all of the wire colors have changed over the years. I ordered a manual for my year. But in the meantime, i found out that if i jump the starter solenoid from the battery directly to the starter it will start, so its not the starter itself its one of the control elements. Its just not getting power to the solenoid to activate it. SO i think it has something to do with the electric start button/ignition coil. i now have power to the brake light that was just a loose connection. But i still have no spark or electric start. Any other help will greatly be apreciated.

PS What is in that little red plastic sealed "bag" looking thing on the small red wire that comes out of the solenoid?

im preety shore that is a fuse. idk how you get into see it and seal it again but that is a fuse. it sounds like the key or starter button isn't good or maby a wire fell off that is going to the solonoid the smal one that runs to the front try to follow it up and see if you find it attatched to anything.

Well if i jump the solenoid behind the battery, it turns over, but still no spark and when i unjump it stops turning over, the start button does not seem to work, but the hi/lo beam switch works. Im not exactly sure how to test if im getting power to the ignition coil, and if the ignition coil is bad or not. Thanks for the help so far, but no further progress.

yea im almost posative that is a fuse. ii have never had one apart before o i don't know how you would replace it. imm sure someone else has before idk if you can take it apart rip it or something to see if it is good or bad or not and seal it back togeter but you can just use an ohm. meter to see if it is conected or if it is broken.

Default Polaris 1988 250 trailboss help!!!

Well good news, i now have spark and electric start, turned out to be a bad ground on the starter solenoid. But now on to another problem, It still WILL NOT run... I have everything needed, fuel is entering the cyl, spark is occuring, i have no clue what is wrong, I was thinking ignition timing, but Im not sure, also a buddy said that it could be the CDI box but another thing im not sure about.

Any help will be greatly apreciated
Thanks!
