Thanks for all your help!! I think I might have the a Dealer do the first change and check the machine for problems.I think the front shaft might be leaking where it comes out of front drive case. Thanks again!

The polaris does have the best irs suspension on any 4x4.There system is the one that all the others are trying to beat, they are referd to as te Cadillac of the 4x4's.

Isn't kind of funny that the recent reviews from atv magazines are actually saying they are disappointed that polaris has not changed their suspension! I mean, really....why, because no one can duplicate it? I didn't buy my sportsman to jump, etc. I have the predator for that! When I get on my 800, I want a Cadillac...and it is! Best ride around! It may not be the fastest on hard pack, but I think it would be much closer over rough trails. I am amazed how fast I can blow through difficult terrain! And to think all this time I have been beating up my sport quads (and myself) trying to climb rocks and do things my popo does!

500 utitity review

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>The suspension starts soft in its travel, which makes the front dive heavily during hard braking. It gets progressively better than others, erasing holes, rocks, ruts, roots and other natural anomalies with little left for the rider to feel.

Rear suspension is equally soothing, under a wide, squishy seat. On many machines that make riders get on their heels to avoid hard impacts, one can sit on the Sportsman and ride it out.</end quote></div>

They really dont change much because they got it right so long ago in 96.

Our 97 SP500 rides nicer then my friends 05 660 grizzly and 07 500 Foreman.

There are manufactures would just started to put on selectable 4wd and IRS and other who still think disk brakes all round is still a new concept.

Heard someone say there is a rumor that Honda, may but a disk brakes on the back of all there Utility ATVs in 09 or 2010! LMAO
