Forgot to add. No ECM or EFI on the 400HO. Thank God. one less concern when you're miles from nowhere.

ya but the 08' 400 is 117 lbs lighter then the 07' 450 is w/ the same power plant. i finally dug out my garage so im going to take my wheels off the 800 and put them on the 400 to see if they'll fit since there a 26" tire instead of the 24" stockers. if they will then maybe il buy the 26" wheels and tires or good mudding for mama.

I wasn't aware of that weight diff between the 07 450 and the 08 400HO. No wonder this thing zips around like it does.

I think if Polaris did a better job of promoting this model, they'd have a real hit with it.

I'm interested to see what the tire change will do to the perf. Maybe won't hurt it tooo much.

Picked the 400 up Friday night, I've only put about 5 miles on it. It's rained off and on for the last 2 days. Mostly rode on the back roads around here. The power difference is amazing! Can't wait to hit the trails. I've posted a couple of pictures of the machine in my profile.

bluequad, I just love the camo job on the 400s, dealer has one in the showroom and I drool every time I go in...down side is the price difference! Dealer told me they run like $400 more, can't believe how much Mossy Oak gets for their pattern how much was yours?

jokout, dealer told me it was around 4900.00. After dealing back and forth, I traded my 07 Hawkeye special edition (red metallic paint, al. wheels) for 1300.00 difference out the door. My Hawkeye had low miles I only had it for 6 months

Blue, I'm sure you will be happy with it!
After putting 50 miles on the Hawk yesterday, it never fails to amaze me just how much these little machines will go through always eager for more! Putting a 455cc engine in this package makes a good quad even better.
