Polaris 2w-50 Oil

YES, I admit I use Rotella 5w-40 synthetic in my Honda Nighthawk 750 BECAUSE it is not an "energy conserving oil" and is rated JASO MA and JASO MD which is required on most of the Japanese street and 4-stroke dirt bikes, doesn't have additives that causes clutch slipping,PLUS if I owned a Polaris, especially a 500, 700,800, I would use it as an "alternative" to Polaris PS4 plus oil especially since there is no wet clutch and in my opinion only it as good an oil as Mobil 1, Lucas, etc ( except you Amsoil users,I KNOW you argue this is supposed to be the BEST!!) Don't want to cause disputes! Rotella was originally designed as a diesel oil,BUT they finally put the JASO ratings early in 2010, years after people were using it in their cycles and such. Just my 2 cents worth on this one fellas! PS: checking back in on you fellas after 3 months, beginning to feel better and LOVING retirement!!!

Lol....Well even thought the original post was from 2008, there's nothing like a good oil debate!!! So I guess I'll add my 2cents. I started running Mobil 1 0w40 Full Synthetic about 3 years ago. No issues, and the oil seems a little cleaner at oil changes than the Polari$$$$ recommended stuff. Defiantly can't go wrong with a good quality full synthetic (keeping close to the recomended weight) as an alternative. Once again...just my .02
P.S. Hey Stendori, Thanks for pointing out the right trial for my request.

The only fluids that I would NOT change from Polaris is for the front differential and Active Descent Control. The rest, crankcase oil and transmission/ gearcase fluid can be substituted with your personal favorite, provided its suited for that particular application. If you're that concerned of having problems either with the Dealer or Warranty if something happened while you're using a non-Polaris fluid, then just use the Polaris stuff.
BTW, I agree that the Shell Rotella T Synthetic 5w-40 is an excellent oil. I will probably put it in the 500 for its spring time fluids change.

Also need to use Polaris brand coolant they have made some special formula in it nobody else has. I think they got it from area 51 or something!
