I have a 500 H.O and a 700 EFI and I have to ask...why not buy the EFI? It starts better and runs better. It is no comparison. Are you using it strictly for drag racing? Who cares if one or the other is a 1/2 a length ahead at the end of a 1/4 mile stretch? After having 2 EFI snowmobiles now I knew when I was upgrading the wheeler it was going to be an EFI. I also plan on bringing it to other parts of the country (with different elevations) and I know the EFI is going to run perfect. Just my .02!</end quote></div>
I totaly agree won't own another quad without EFI. If you plan on useing your quad every day get a everday fuel system. This why they went to this setup in the auto industry and atv industry is just staring to catch using it on all big bore quads it will be the way of the future like it or not!!!!

I agree with most others and i have proven it.In 07 i bought my new 5000 HO EFI Deluxe sportsman they had just a plain HO carb model there for cheap i asked if it was slower they said yes well they offered to prove it and they did i waxed it on my new 500HO EFI.Hope this answers your ? the EFI is also awesome to start no choke no warm up time.Last time we went riding i waited inside while everyone froze trying to get their quads started.15 min later when they were all ready to go i walked out hit my key and drove off the next day 3 of them bought EFI when it is cold you cannot beat them and the throttle response is awesome altitude does not affect them like a carb either,And no rejetting for other mods.

I'm withyou Mongrol, I also have 04 400 it has been flawless, it doe's not get as cold here in wv but I can start that thing with no choke and it fire's as good as my efi 800. 2,400 miles been upside in a raging river and still run mint.
