Default New battery time

I was considering Odyssey and Optima brands based on Forum recomendations. However, I have used both Interstate and Carquest batteries in my heavy equipment with great luck. They both make a compatible sealed motorcycle battery. The warranty is the same on all four. The Carquest is considerably less. Any first hand experience with the Interstate or Carquest in a quad or UTV?

myself i just buy a cheaper battery like form walmart or something and as long as it gets charged correctly it last 4 or 5 years. im sure the sealed batteries are better though.

I haven't had to replace batteries yet, but in the past with small engines I've also gone the Walmart or Sears route. Much cheaper for about the same battery as at the dealer. Optima batteries are very good though.

i agree with the walmart batteries for a quad. BUT I do have an Optima battery that has run in many cars ( I have had it litterally 17 years) and that frickin thing just wont die!

if you wanna spend the money on a Optima for a quad - you can be confident its an AWESOME battery

Deka EXT15 is the best battery I've ever put in a quad. They don't need charged prior to install nor maintained. Crazy, I know, but I haven't lost one yet and I don't ever tend it nor charge them prior to install. Plus they are sealed.
