Greetings,

I am looking for advice with respect to my 1998 Sportsman 500. while getting it ready for this season the electronic ignition would not work, I attempted to pull start the engine to find the cord saturated with a greenish fluid that does not smell like gasoline, oil or transmission fluid, anyone ever have this problem?

it sounds like you got tones of mud and crap in teh flywheel area take off the cover and inspect that could get on the magnets maby and not let it make the power to spark.
