We put my remote plug in the light pod. I have the same quad 08 500EFI. You might want to move your red battery wire forward so it comes straight up to the positive batt lead. You can slip it out of the wire loom. I like being able to use the remote out away from the bike.

 

THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE! You gave me confidence to do this project. Everything is hooked-up except for the existing RED wire to the battery. I like the idea of putting the remote in the storage area. Good saftey feature I think if you want to use the WINCH and be away from the wire cable. Thanks for the picture hobble! NOW I HOPE IT WORKS SO I CAN START PUTTIN' ER BACK together. My wife thinks I'm nuts. I told her, "DON'T WORRY ATVCONNECTION'S GOT MY BACK"!

i wouldnt "have done" or "have known to do" 3/4 of the stuff..... if i didnt find this place!

 

Hopefully you won't have a ton of stuff on your front rack. If you put in the pod you have nothing to be in the way. I store my remote in the rear storage.
