Newbie question about Polaris 1.5ci winch
anywear from $125.00 shipped and up. i just bought one off ebay for that price for a 2500 lb. its not a warn unfortuneitly but its not going to be used as much so for that price its worth a try. it all depends on brand and size on how much it cost ya and where you get it.

Newbie question about Polaris 1.5ci winch
I got the winch from MotoAlliance 3,000lb $124.oo plus shipping! Put on my sons PoPo 700. Great winch. Some how my son got stuck,SOMEHOW while winching out slack got in the cable , cable got out side the drum and he winched in w/o checking. Moto fixed the winch and shipped back! Really prompt and treated us right even though operators error! Great communication with Kristy at MotoAlliance and EVEN the CEO called me to make sure I was happy! There right up there with WARN in my book!!!!

Newbie question about Polaris 1.5ci winch
Hello again all!!! Thanks for all the great replies. I found the lever tucked away behind the winch like Mongrol and Daretoride pointed out. The dealer had told me that there was no free spool on this winch, and I thought that was kind of odd. The same mechanic also told me the quick connect in the storage area near the radiator fill was a diagnostic connection for them. I found out in the owners manual it is a quick connect for a battery charger!!!! I think they need a new mechanic!!!!!!!
Thanks again to all for the help. Stay safe!!!

Newbie question about Polaris 1.5ci winch
Scuff, this seems to be a common problem with a lot of dealerships, the mechanics just don't keep up with the Polaris product line and in most cases are only familiar with models they sell the most of and in worst cases are only capable of general setup at best!
I still think this was a major issue with the problems some had with the early '06 Hawkeyes, when properly setup, these are great bikes, when they aren't the posibility for problems is there!
