Default CVT removal

I"ve got an old but good Sportsman 500 (1999 model). I've changed the belts many times so I can handle that, but today the belt broke and wrapped around the shaft behind the CVT. I removed the center bolt but was afraid to force anything. What's the trick?

Thanks

You need a primary puller!

dont use any other type of puller to pull on the sheeves as they break easy sometimes or you may bend it and screw it up. either buy, borrow, or make a puller. they just (3/4" fine thread)screw in the center hole and bottom out on the crank to pop it off.
