Congrats, popo...just bought a 500 EFI on 4/18...great machine. One thing to think about is the Polaris winch - talk to your dealer about it. The place that sold me my wheeler and winch said that if anything went wrong with it and they couldn't fix it at the dealership they'd put a new one on. That's their selling point is that I won't have to take it off and send it to the manufacturer for repair (which can take a couple of weeks). I've ridden four times since then and used the winch at least 20 times and had great luck with it.

Also, you'd probably be okay with only a 2500 lbs winch unless you're riding with side-by-sides who need some more pull. Even the biggest fourwheelers weigh in at less than 800 lbs...you'd have to bury one in concrete to need more than 2500 lbs to get it out...in my opinion.

Matlax the Polaris Winch is built by Warn with the Polaris name attached , Artcic Cat has the same Winch offered by Polaris also built by Warn with the AC Brand Attached to it ; So which ever is the Cheapest that would be the way i would go !

Just get the one that has the mounting plate for the Polaris or AC , or whatever brand you ride ; i think the roller flairhead comes with the Polaris and AC though so you may be beter off getting the Polaris Winch !....

Looking at only one reputable source the price of the exact winch you are looking at is $475....not bad. Hard to find sources for that particular winch, though.

Warn all the way. Have one on each quad and they haven't failed to drag other's quads out of the mud yet!. Okay, I had to winch mine out of crust covered 2.5 foot deep snow... I've pulled out my son's ATP, a friend's Sportsman (didn't have enough momentum in the black goo), the Lakota, a Honda, trees, etc. Not a single problem.
