Default Rear Winch

I have a 2002 sportsman 500 and a new 2008 sportsman 450... I have an extra winch and would like to make a removable mount for both atv. I would also want to make a quick disconect and be able to run the rear winch with the same rocker switch I already have installed... anybody tried this??

I have a setup like that from Montana Jacks but its only a 1 1/4" receiver hitch. You can probably make your own and use the wiring diagram to set it up.

Mine is a bit unconventional but it works well. I took my older SuperWinch and welded it onto a trailer coupling. (from an old boat trailer) With the winch mounted to that it fits onto my Hitchballs that I have welded to my frame just below my racks on the front and rear. (Welded on a piece of 1 /14inch tubing and a tongue for the ***** to sit into)

On angled pulls the winch rotates the way that it needs to as it can pivot on the hitch *****.
Just wire up two quick connects and run them through the plastics to the front and rear to snap the winch up.

I am a firm believer that if I got stuck going into something, why the hell do I want to continue going through it if its only going to get deeper!! Winch myself out from the rear.

Hey Man, for a Quadder, you exhibit far too much common sense. Great idea!
