Default Transmission problems, 03 700 Sportsman

I am trying to find some one that has expereanced the same problem. My 2003 Sportsman will not shift into high or park. Works fine in low & reverse. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to tare the trans apart. I removed all the linkage and tryed shifting it, tryed roling it back and fourth, took the cluch apart, cleaned & lubed it. Any ideas?

just a guess, but maybe internal shifting fork got bent some how. i think your right , it has to come apart. maybe take a look at the parts break down to see what your looking at.

I have had something the same with my 02 sportsman 700. you do not have to take the tranny apart. first check to make sure that there is a spring from your foot brake to your tranny. if there is take off the shift linkadge at the tranny and remove the cover that is there and you will see how that foot brake works to be able to shift.
