It's all about businesses making money. Most of us whined about it when it was only $2, but it was already over $5 in Europe at the time, so I don't complain much. It was about $6.50 - $6.70 in Holland and Norway three years ago. No telling how high it is now. If the price rose anything like it did here it's over $10 a gallon.

I think gas was $.79 IN '79 when I got my licence. 1 cent a year. I definately remember gas under a dollar even if it was $.99.9. And I'd like to strangle whoever came up with that 9/10 of a cent BS. I never got 1/10 of a cent change back. Non-existent units of money should be illegal.

Went to fill up the wifes truck last night. A station had it for 3.64 but the line to wait didn't seem worth it. Had to pick up some milk, and got a six pack while I was in the grocery store. At least I had something to do while I went back and waited in line.

Pumps that didn't even go up to a dollar. The good old days. I must be getting old to use those four words. Remember Gasohol from the mid-70s into the 80s? There was controvery about if it was bad for cars or not. I think it was cheaper than plain gasoline. Now almost all gas is 10% alcohol. It's the same exact thing. And real gas is almost impossible to find.
