I am going to look at a 2005 polaris 400 on the 3rd. The lady said it has 50 miles on it with a winch and plow. She only wants 2500.00 for it. It seems to good to be true but I am going to look anyway. I dont need another quad but i might just have to get it! Does anyone know of certain Issues with this model?

Any help would be appreciated.

if you do decide to buy it make sure that she has the title for it. if she doesn't have a title then i'd kinda think that it may be a little hot..............shea.............

It was about a 45 minute drive to where she lives and the whole time I am thinking it has to be all beat up or stolen like shea said. When I pulled she had it sitting in the front yard and from the truck I could tell I would be taking it home. It has 39.4 hours on it and 260 miles. I got all the papers from her, loaded it up and now as my wife said "what are you going to do with it"?

In the end I figured out the reason for so cheap, she had jet skis, a boat, mustang and a truck- IMPUSE buyer. Lives at home with the parents= no bills.

 

We have two 05 400s.
Issues we have had.
3 total recalls on the ECMs
Jetting issues on both
Broken "choke" cable on one
Starter out on one
Recoil housing gummed up on one (rope came out but wouldn't go back in)
Kill switch failed on one ($70)

There's probably more but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.
