Default Wire on Front hub

I have a 94 300 4X4. I am in the process of replacing the front shocks. I have a Clymer manual and it says to disconnect the wire that goes to the front hub for the 4 wheel drive. I see the wire at the hub and it looks like the wire goes into sealant at the hub, and I am having trouble tracing it up the quad. Anyhow, where am I supposed to dissconnect this wire?
