Default Low-Low-Range

I have a 2003 500 HOthat I use to snow-blow my driveway (with a Bercomac).
I wish I could just creep along when the snow is deep (we get 2' storms here near Tahoe). Can I modify the machine so in low range it is at least 2x slower than it currently is?

But then he wouldn't have the power to move the snow and with the honda 3 wheel drive, he would get stuck....LOL.

I never heard of a way to get a lower low range like that, but a clutch kit might help.

This is a Polaris forum, and buying a Honda doesn't modify a Polaris at all.

Where's a moderater when you need one?

everyone has there opinion and as long as there respectable in their post and not running someone down or causing conflict there allowed. i agree if you want a bike that has a constant slow creep in gear it has to be non belt style biuke no matter which brand it is. sounds like the snowblower doesnt have a big enough engine to handle the 2' plus storms at any speeds over and idle.

the problem with plowing with an atv in 2' of snow is that your trying to push 5x more weight than the machine... sounds like you need a truck for that deep of snow..
i dont think that my plow is 2' high...

Why wait until the storm is over? Plow at 6" intervals = more riding time.

I have a 1999 Suzuki king Quad 300 that has Hi, low, and Super low ranges. and when in super low, you can lock the front diff for true 4wd. This little thing is an absolute tank. When someone is riding in super low, you have stare at it for a minute or two to see if it's moving! When I cut down a good sized cherry tree for firewood, I'll grab the suzuki over the 700efi. Not because the 700efi WON"T pull the log, but because the little Suzuki WILL pull the log. Puts a smile on face every time:-) Hey Cbassetti, I'll trade you straight up......Your SP 500 for my Suzuki :-)

It is not a plow..it is a blower..the blower has it's own 23HP engine....if I could creep along it would make it easier...right now I have to move-stop to let the blower clear itself.
Next time I'll find a ATV with a super low range..sounds like nobody here has ever done a modification like this..Oh well...
