I'm installing a Warn XT 3.0 on an '08 Touring and I'm looking for ideas on where to mount the wireless receiver? Where have you guys mounted yours?

Default Wireless winch receiver mounting?

Might be good inside the front box. It's sort of water and dust proof and if needed you could open the lid for better reception, though it would probably work without opening it.

Bumpity Bump on this one... 67 Cougar, where did U end up mounting it? I'm thinking that on the back side of the cargo box in by the fuse box, but then I'd have to take the box off and drill holes in it. Also thought about using sticky double sided 3M tape and sticking it on the computer box in there, but maybe with all the vibration, the tape would come loose over time. Anyone else install the wireless receiver box for a winch?

Thanks for the suggestions. The install of my Warn XT-30 is done and I decided to use the sticky tape and mount the receiver right to the computer box under the front access panel. If it comes loose, then I'll figure something else out. All in all the install went pretty good. The hardest part was probably getting the pre-wired harness that polaris has for the contactor apart so I could use the wires. The KFI mount works great and I cut the grill panel myself using the template already burned into the back as a guide. I only had to cut it about 1/2" further to the starboard side and it fits great. I opted to use the wireless fob in place of the rocker switch, but will carry the wired switch in the cargo box to be plugged in just in case. Now, where to find a mud hole so I can test it out...
