Dang it! I had 1 quart of the Premium 4 at home, so I picked up a 2nd quart of what I thought was the right stuff to finish my oil change. I noticed as soon as I started pouring the new bottle that the color was different. The bottle I purchased was PS-4 Plus instead of Premium 4. My dealer didn't have anything but this stuff, so I figured it was a different label for the same stuff. Both say synthetic 4 cycle engine oil.

I didn't pour in much, but do I need to start over?

What's the difference anyway?

 

All Polaris oil is Full synthetic. Ps-4 plus is 2w-50 while Premium 4 is 0w-40. I think it would be ok to mix them but ask the dealer to make sure.

 

Thanks for the quick reply TLC. I think for the 15 bucks, I'll go ahead and just drain and re-fill tomorrow. Better safe than sorry I guess.

 

With my luck the dealer would say it's okay and then it turns out it's not okay.
