Hi i have 2001 polaris 250 trailblazer. it is making a knocking sound . it sounds like it is coming from the clutch. i took the clutch to the dealer .to see if the buttons were bad. they said they were ok. it only does it when its hot. with no load on it. like 1500 to 2500 rpm. thanks for the help.

 

does it go away when you rev the engine? i seem to remember on our 99' blazer it sounded like the engine was knocking. alot of the 2 strokes did make a knocking sound at idle ive heard. just a thought.

 

yes it will . have you heard of the primary clutch spring getting week. and making a knoch?

 

I've seen several clutchs do this. Don't know what causes it though. A friend of mine had that happen to him. He took it to the dealer and they said it had to be replaced. He put a new clutch on it and the problem was solved.

 

mine knocked pretty bad for a while. i noticed my chain was loose and my sprocket was loose. adjusted it all and now the knocking is gone.

 

bushing could be worn as well as a few other things making a combo of things to do it. hard to tell. also make sure its not hitting the clutch cover it self.
