Is it oiling?

The oil light comes on and off. I am unable to tell whether it is oiling. Any suggestions on how to tell if it is. (Besides motor locking up.)

blue smoke should be coming out the exhaust,if not injection problem,add some oil in right perportion to the gas + get it smoking,don't just add to tank,oil very heavy,will not mix,clog things up.

It may just be low on oil and as the oil splashes on and off the low oil sensor, the light goes on and off.

Make sure the oil tank is full. If it's still full from before, it's not using any.
