2000 325 Trailboss - Allergic to water?
Any other Trailboss owners out there have serious issues with water? It seems like if I get the quad in water over the foot pegs it has issues with running. If I ride in the rain I have to cover the breather on the right side because if it gets drops in it the quad will die. This seems a little extreme to me. Is there something that I am missing with this quad or does it sound like a problem with something in particular?

Welcome to the forums immerume2.
I've had my 2000 in some pretty deep water. Biggest issues a normal running boss should have is water on the spark plug, which can be remedied by some dielectric grease. And water getting into the clutch housing. If you're not sure about how good the gaskets are sealing the cover, you can just use silicone sealer instead. Be sure to get the back of the housing, where the outer cover and the housing meet and the connecting tubes for the housing vent.
If you're getting as deep as the vent on the right side cover (on the 2000 anyway) you've gone over the actual air box lid. Good chance if that has happened the water has managed to get into the snorkel, as it isn't much higher, and sits right behind the gas tank.
While they aren't made to go into water over the bars like some modded 4x4's are, they can do a respectable job in up to about 2 feet of water. As long as the back wheels can get enough grip to keep pushing it.
