turn on my lights and it kills the motor, look at all the wiring see nothing wrong, let it run and get warm up and shut it off it won;t start back up, i keep trying to start it and it take awhile before it will start. any ideas

 

try checking the wiring connection under the left handle bar where the light switch and engine kill switch plugs in. it may be loose or dirty.

 

My did the same thing....It's the ECM(Sure Power Box)....Mounted under the high-beam headlight......................There is a recall out on them ............It contains two solid state circuit breakers in there to protect from overload............And this one for the lights has failed........Shuts the Quad off for protection!!.........Do a search on ECM here and you can read my troubles with mine...
BTW.......I am one my third one and my wife still has the factory one in there........Go FIGURE!!

To qoute Caper...
