having enough power and no belt slip is the most important. if you have alot of added weight on the front end or bigger tires on it all have an effect on how hard it is to wheelie. sometimes i'll hold the break a little and nail the throttle while pulling back on the handle bars.

What they said.
but as a bigger guy having the right seat position for balance and Weight transfer not only makes it come up vs spinning the rears, but it also makes it a little more predictable.

Tire Pressure will also affect the outcome as well at least for a bigger guy on one of these.
At 3lbs sitting mid to front half of seat, it is lifting really good. at 5 lbs I need to move further back otherwise it is spinning, and at 7lbs it really wants to break loose rather than come up.

I have to be in low gear to do a wheelie. I think someone had asked this a while back and there were some pretty funny tips if I remember right. But in general just give it hell.
