So with the differential, is there a separate oil or does it use the transmission oil? I do not see any signs of a drain plug, and the owners manual only mentions the front differential.

I think it is just the X2s and the Touring quads because of their extra length.

I don't remember seeing Turf mode on the 08 800 except the X2 model. My wife has that on her 07 500 X2 she turns considerably tighter with that diff lock out. When you go from 2x4 to turf or viceaversa you hear a noticeable click as a solenoid engages or disengages.

The manual I have shows 1 fluid on the X2 for Trans and Rear Diff as it is one piece, but I don't see any place where it shows me where it is.
Maybe those videos that were running around here would have it. From what I remember that was an X2 he was servicng in most of those picks.

Edited 3:18 pm 5/27 Here is the link to the maintenance video http://forums.atvconnection.co...1=maintenance%20video

Someone had the maintenance manual for the 2007 800 posted. might find that if you search it was pdf format. it included the X2 model

All the X2's and touring models have a one piece transmission and rear differential. So there's one place to drain it out and one place to fill it.

Polaris Rangers have a tranny and rear end, but not the Sportsman 800's. I stock 5 different fluids for my bikes, it can get confusing at times
