I have a 2005 sportsman 700 when riding in just a little water hot!! flashes on instrument panel and it becomes hard to steer like it is trying to pull one way then the other makes it kind of hard to control. also when hot!! flashes quad is not hot. any help would be appreciated.

 

The HOT light is controlled by the ECM Sure power Ind. Box.....
Check to see if there is a recall on your Quad.........................Caper............

 

One other thing that can cause issues is water in the connections to the ecm. I've had a few people tell me about problems such as that after washing their machine. Get some dielectric grease and put a pretty good amount on the ecm connectors and reinstall tehm. It may not fix your issue, but it will definately not hurt anything either.
