02 500HO Bogging

All:
I have searched the board for a similar post and have found many close, but I am not sure that any acutally apply to my problem. Please advise...
This winter, while plowing my driveway, I noticed the engine was starting to bog and sputter at WOT and 3/4 throttle. It would go away after the engine got up to rev's. This got worse after a couple times in the driveway to the point that it is now. It starts and idles perfect. When the gas is depressed past 1/4, the engine bogs and sputters and pops if I push it hard enough. I have just drained the gas out of the tank in case it was a case of bad gas (the gas I used was for the lawnmower from the fall after sitting the garage for cold MI months) and replaced the fuel filter. Does this sound like it will fix the problem? I did notice some dirt/debris in the bottom of my tank, but I can't seem to get it out without removing the gas tank. Does anybody have any thoughts on that?
Thanks.

deff sounds like oil over flow into the air box it goes onto the air filter and chokes the engine. i had this prob on the ice because i was full throttle for a long period of time and it sucked the oil up out of the engine into the box it gets worse and worse as you drive were it gets slower and slower. the easiets way to check this is to take the air filter off and start it see if it revs up it won't be perfect bucause teh air filter and cover being off affects airflow and leans out the jets. if you have a paper filter you prob have to get a new one I have K&N and all i have to do iws wash and i put the other one on as i was and prep teh one i took off its great having a spare.
