Default new sportsman...???...!!!

not trying to stir up stuff but i will tell you what my local polaris rep told me. .....he said he got a call from his boss, he had been testing the new sportsman. he said it was the best new bike he had seen from polaris in years. he didnt say how big the motor was but hinted in the 800 plus size.850 maybe?..... minimal racks and less weight. he also said it should be to the atv market what the rzr is the the side by side market. he also said the old sportsmans will still be there but this was a NEW sporstman. i guess we'll just have to wait until they release them at the vegas show....... i hope he's right

Most people who want a Utility ATV want large racks not "Minimal" ones. Hope they remember lots of Sportsman's are used on farm and hutting, fishing and camping trips.

If I did not need racks I would just buy a sport ATV like a 800 Renegade.

I think that would be a big seller, especially if it was more price competitive. I would probably buy one

I love my Polaris but a lighter more agile one would be very welcomed!

So if its a entirely different ATV why use the same Name as a already existing model? The dictionary has many words left it.

Even Can AM calls one a "Outlander" and the other a "Renagade".

I think that is what has alreadt set the SPORTSMANs line apart amid its competition - IMHO

It has the awesome, rugged Utility, with the power, with the speed etc. I know in
recent years they have made our SPORTSMANs, BIG MONSTER MUD/WATER machines
but it gives so much more. I see alot on this forum those beg of more POWER, SPEED without
losing RIDE COMFORT, RACK SPACE and STORAGE...BUT I for one would like to see more
features like the new POWER STEERING and machine all-around made better equiped
(stock tires/rims, shocks etc.. that so many mod after their purchases anyways) VS. always
POWER/SPEED or SMALLER SIZE and lighter frame (Not that wouldn't be great!)

Opinions?
