Rejetting for elevation
#1
I'm from Minnesota and am going riding on vacation around the Big Horn's and Teton mtn near Jackson WY. I have a 2001 500 HO. Do you think the jetting needs to be adjusted for the higher elevation or should I be ok?

I checked a couple places that said 6,000 was the limit without re-jetting, but Jackson is over 6,000 feet before you even start up the mountain trails.
I checked into re-jetting back in the late 90s for the Annual ATV Jamboree in Utah. I thought it was 3-4,000 feet for re-jetting, and 5-6,000 for clutch adjustments, but I was way off. The information I was trying to remember for my old quad might not apply to the new ones, but most likely I was just plain wrong. I'm glad there's someone to correct me when I goof up like that.
